Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria are expanding outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators through street information stands and event-based activities. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to present straightforward information on drug risks, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. Details were published in this Scientology Europe report.

According to organisers, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, said: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—supporting both community well-being and European civic news eu gipfel values.”
